What manufacturing options does P+V offer?

The machinery includes technologically different designs. The large selection guarantees optimum production of your parts. Several conditions need to be checked in order to prepare a quotation. What geometry or dimensions does the milled part have? Which materials will be used? Are special machining operations required? How precise should the milled part be?
We have the following options for the production of milled parts:

Production systems:

We manufacture our components on various multi-axis machining centres (CNC 3-axis / 4-axis / 5-axis machining centres). Compared to conventional 3-axis machining, the CNC 4-axis/5-axis machining centres enable us to reduce machining times and achieve a significantly better surface finish. By using these production systems, we are able to deliver your milled parts to you in the shortest possible time and with the best quality. Machining centres with a 5-axis milling machine also offer the possibility of producing 3D milled parts. Here, the production piece can be approached at almost any angle. This enables the production of parts with highly complex structures and dimensions.

GENERAL INFORMATION INFORMATION ON MILLED PARTS

How are milled parts manufactured?

Milled parts are manufactured on conventional milling machines or CNC milling machines. There are different versions of milling machines. There are 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis systems. The more axes a milling machine has, the more sides can be machined with one clamping. This means that for simple parts that only need to be machined from one side, the 3-axis machine is the most favourable solution. If several sides need to be machined, machining on a 4- or 5-axis machine may be worthwhile. This avoids multiple reclamping of the parts.

What is CNC milling?

CNC milling involves the use of CNC processing machines. CNC is the abbreviation for ‘Computerised Numerical Control’. The computerised control guarantees a precise manufacturing process. Workpieces with high precision, high repeat accuracy and complex shapes are possible as a result.

There are various processes for producing milled parts. The manufacturing process can vary depending on the material, shape and desired accuracy. Just ask us! We will choose the most optimal manufacturing option for your parts!
